To the 8th graders at CVMS, my advice to you, as a fellow high school student, is that you give it your all and strive for the best in life. Get motivated to be the best you can. Study hard, practice your skills to make them better, and do not follow the wrong crowd. High school may sound scary at first, but when you actually enroll in it, it really isn’t that bad. You merely have to put your fears behind you and move forward. Getting older and becoming a high school student, you are learning how to grow up, be respectful, and responsible. Life will not wait for you to waste your time and not try. So live life to the fullest and be happy, because you never truly know when your time is up.
Follow your own path and not others, because you could end up falling and screwing up your life for good. Don’t do drugs, drink, or be disrespectful to adults. Ignore the ones who mistreat you or merely don’t like you. Be who you want to be and not what others want to see. There are consequences in life, so be good and do not hate so much. Also, just have fun being a new high school student and strive for success. Don’t let anyone bring you down, no matter what it’s about, or who does it.
Sincerely, Jasmine

Nature
I see a rock. This beautiful rock is so tiny, yet holds so much beauty in it. There are white, yellow, orange, shimmers, and sparkles all bunched up to make this outstanding rock of nature. The shaped and jagged edges are so typical, but for some reason, this tiny rock is unique and stands out to me and says “look at my beauty.” This rock is like no ordinary rock in my eyes. What I see, is an amazing

Ireland Is My Fate
I would like to be cremated when I pass away, instead of being buried into the ground. Being buried in the ground when I die is jus gross and nasty to think about. I don’t want to have bugs and insects to crawl all over my dead body, because that is just plain disgusting. I would like to have my ashes spread out in one of Ireland’s oceans. I chose the country Ireland, because from what I saw, Ireland is a really quiet, beautiful, green, and fresh place, the country is just outstanding and amazes me. I just love how natural and green it looks. I have some Irish in me as well, so having my ashes spread out there, would just feel like the right place to be. The people and community there are close like a family and I really like that about Ireland. I don’t think Irish people or whoever live in Ireland are races, I mean I think the people get along well with one another and don’t really judge, based upon appearance. I think they judge you on if you drink or not, because pubs are really this big thing in Ireland, and drinking are just known for Ireland. Most people that live in Ireland are probably either Christians or Catholics. But I don’t really think religion is such a big deal there. When I think of Ireland, I think of how free the place is and how you can be your own person without having other people judge you.
